A festival for children’s teachers took place at Deer Mountain Retreat Center under the auspices of the children’s ministries department of the West Central Korean Conference from January 29 to 31, 2016. A total of 85 children and 111 teachers attended this event.
For children’s teachers, Pastor Hyun DaeUhn preached on Christian eudemonics. He said that happiness from God comes from self-sacrificial love even though we think those who have more are happier. That is why we need to properly understand God’s happiness.

On Sabbath, there was a model Sabbath school for infants, preschoolers, and primary school-kids so that teachers could later apply what they learnedat their local churches.
Dr. Choi BongHee, reading education expert, was invited on the last day to give lectures on reading and debate for children.
“It was a good time to be spiritually encouraged and to learn many things through well-prepared sermons and programs,” said participants. There were also various programs for children, such as Bible study and cooking. It was well received that the festival did not merely take care of children attendees, but also provided spiritual lessons to them.
