Kim, Tae Seung(Ted)

Elder Kim, Tae-seung(Ted) was elected as the new treasurer of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division(NSD). The NSD nominating committee recommended Elder Kim to the Executive Committee of the General Conference during the Annual Council on November 4, 2022, to be the division’s treasurer.

The Executive Committee of the General Conference, which was held on November 8, elected Elder Kim as the new treasurer as of January 1, 2023, as requested by the NSD. He is the first native treasurer who comes from the NSD’s territory.

Kim, Tae-seung, the new treasurer, graduated with a BA degree in business administration from Sahmyook University and began his ministry as a treasury staff at the Korean Publishing House (KPH) in 1985. After working at KPH for six years and two months, he served as an auditor for the Korean Union Conference and a senior auditor for the Trans-Pacific region of the General Conference for 30 years and ten months. During this period, he established the foundation for auditing and produced several accountants through a quality improvement program in the audit field. His contributions include establishing a professional audit system within the church by striving to improve audit staff quality and strengthen their capabilities. The new treasurer Kim, Tae-seung has two grown-up daughters with his wife Park, Kyung-ran: Ji-hyang, Ji-hyun and grandchildren.

Ministry Description

A specialized ministry at every level of the church whereby individuals and families may give their continuing support to God’s work through wills, trusts, annuities, and other special gifts.
Further; To assist members and friends of the church in making meaningful and major investments beyond this life in the New Jerusalem where they expect to spend eternity.
