United Worship Service Wraps Adventists in Love

On February 7, 2015, Hong Kong-Macau Conference (HKMC) held its annual new year’s united worship service at Taipo Sam Yuk Middle School. Believing that a good start would benefit the spirituality of members for the rest of the year, HKMC hoped to use the occasion to refresh the local Adventists’ commitment to the Lord.

When Sabbath school started at 9:45a.m., Adventists from different churches went to different classrooms to participate. The whole campus became a big Bible school full of prayers, discussions and sharing of thoughts.

During the worship hour, Pastor Isaac Foo, ministerial association director at the Chinese Union Mission, gave the keynote sermon. He preached on chapters 2 and 3 of the Book of Revelation, which contain the repeated emphases made by the Lord Jesus Christ. “Jesus calls every Christian again and again to give ear to the teachings of the Holy Spirit. The end is near. We have to prepare ourselves to meet the Lord every day,” Pastor Foo urged.

One program that really impressed the audience was a performance by a group of children, ages 6 to 12. They performed a drama based on the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25. Their lovely performance and the biblical message touched the hearts of those who were watching.

Indeed, the United Worship Service wrapped Adventists in Hong Kong with the word of God and the love of Christ.
