Training and Dispatch for the 40th Batch of 1000MM Missionaries

The 1000MM (1000 Missionary Movement) campus welcomed 101 new missionaries on June 24, 2012. The 40th batch of 1000MM missionaries had a very busy training schedule ahead of them, as you can see in the following schedule.

On June 25, 2012, English training for the missionaries began. They woke up at dawn with loud chanting and singing. During the day, the missionaries studied English very diligently in order to communicate better with the people in their mission field. There was a celebration for the completion of the English training on July 26. Pastor KwangSoo Park, 1000MM Director, encouraged their efforts and the missionaries showed off their achievement.

The training in Mindoro was held from July 23 to 25, 2012. The intensive training included physical exercise, seaside exercise, mountain field exercise, and spiritual training. Although the course was very difficult, they fully depended on God,and became a strong army for Christ through His Word and prayer.

There was a Week of Prayer from August 13 to 18, 2012. Pastor GeunShik Lim was the main speaker, who gave spiritual food every morning and evening. The missionaries were touched and felt that they became so spiritually blessed through the messages.

A cottage meeting was held inthe Batas area, Philippines, from August 26 to September 1, 2012. During the meeting, missionaries visited from house to house in order to meet people and to invite them to the evangelistic series. They also provided medical services, community services, and Biblical lectures. As a result, 41 precious people were baptized on Sabbath, and all the missionaries gave thanks to God for being with them.

A “Survival Revival” program for the missionaries was held in Batangas, Philippines, on September 3 and 4, 2012. The missionaries made a wood fire, baked bread in it, and cooked rice in a can. These activities helped them learn to survive in any environment. They also learned to cooperate and become united with each other.

After the last training, the 40th batch of the 1000MM missionaries attended a dedication and graduation service at the campus on September 7and8, 2012. They decided to devote one year of their life to serve the Lord and the people in the field, like a candle which gives out light in the darkness. They were dispatched to their assigned fields including Mindanao (Southern Philippines), Visayas (Central Philippines), Luzon (Northern Philippines), India, and Cambodia. May God bless them to accomplish the Great Commission given to them in their mission work.
