The Chinese Union Mission (CHUM) youth ministry department held the third CHUM Youth Leadership Conference from Sep 7 to 10. The theme for the conference which was held at Nanjing Church, China, was “Be the witness of Jesus by the power of Holy Spirit.” About 300 devoted ministers and youth leaders gathered together and shared their visions for the future of youth ministries.
Pastor Kim, NakHyung, Youth director of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) who served also as one of the speakers, preached about “Mission of the Adventist youth who overcome the world.” During the discussion session, Pastor Kim promoted the first NSD youth leadership conference, which will be held on February, 2015 in Taiwan.
During the conference, participants enjoyed a special concert and shared reports and testimonies of the youth ministries by each region. The conference ended with the dispatching and dedication ceremony of 153 missionaries, who are going to serve in various churches in China as missionaries for a year. The next CHUM Youth Leadership Conference will be held in 2016.
