The South Bangladesh Mission (SBM) recently marked two special occasions that highlighted the dedication and impact of Women’s Ministries in the region.
On August 1, 2025, SBM held a joyful celebration in honor of the 30th anniversary of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Women’s Ministries. This meaningful event brought together approximately 45 to 50 women, along with their spouses and mission officers, to recognize three decades of empowering and equipping women for service worldwide.

The program was organized by Mahuya Roy, Women’s Ministries Director of the Bangladesh Adventist Union Mission (BAUM), in collaboration with Monju Falia, Women’s Ministries Director of SBM.
Mahuya Roy delivered an inspiring keynote address reflecting on the global journey of Women’s Ministries and how to foster its growth locally. Monju Falia shared practical insights into the roles and responsibilities of Women’s Ministries, and Pastor Timothy Roy, BAUM Executive Secretary, led a reflective session on the unique qualities and God-given roles of women.

A lively question-and-answer session followed, tackling real challenges faced by women, strategies for overcoming them, and envisioning the future of Women’s Ministries. The celebration concluded with a symbolic candle-lighting ceremony and a joyful cake-cutting, marking the milestone with unity and thanksgiving.
The very next day, on August 2, 2025, the Women’s Ministries team continued their mission with an Evangelism Program at the Narikeltala Seventh-day Adventist Church under SBM. Led by Mahuya Roy and Monju Falia, and joined by Pastor Timothy Roy and Pastor Daniel Falia, President of SBM, the outreach was filled with memorable moments. The journey to Narikeltala itself was an adventure, involving a river crossing by boat followed by a rickshaw ride to the church. Along the way, the team shared joyful fellowship and unique experiences.

During the Divine Service, Pastor Timothy Roy delivered an uplifting message, and Mahuya Roy presented a heartfelt spiritual appeal that deeply touched the congregation. As a result of this evangelistic effort, 17 individuals accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. The church family is rejoicing over these new believers and invites continued prayers for their spiritual growth and steadfast commitment to Christ.
