Obituary Notices - Andrew Kuntaraf / Pastor James Milton Lee

Andrew Kuntaraf(picture below right), the director of the Seventh-day Adventist Membership Software of the General Conference passed away in a motorcycle accident in the afternoon of April 6 in the local time. It is with sadness of the tragic loss of one of our Mission Family members.

Andrews has been working hard for the Membership Software and he had served for the SunPlus implementation before. His father, Elder Jonathan Kuntaraf is serving as the GC SSPM director. Elder G. T. Ng at the GC met with the other family members and requests that you please remember them in your prayers.

We have special memories of Andrew’s friendship and his dedication to mission. His creative ideas, professional products, as well as his personable and service-minded nature, will be deeply missed. Please keep the Kuntaraf family, especially Andrew’s beloved wife and parents in your prayers.
 

Pastor James Milton Lee(picture below left), the first Sahmyook Theology Seminary Dean in Korea, died of old age at his house in Colemont, Tennessee, USA, on February 19, 2013. at the age of 101. He was born in Sunan, Pyongannam-do, North Korea on September 12, 1912, to an American Adventist missionary couple.

Pastor Howard Lee, his father served as the principal of the Euimeong School, the predecessor of Sahmyook University. Pastor James Lee studied pastoral ministry in the USA and came to Korea as a missionary in 1938. After the Korean War, he served as the first Sahmyook Theology Seminary Dean and established the foundation of Sahmyook University by securing a location for the school.

He moved to the Philippines in 1954 and contributed to Adventist education in Asia by establishing a 4-yeardegree in the Theology Department at Mountain View College. He is survived by his wife, Irene, and three sons, Alfred, David, and Paul.
