Monica Shih(mother), a Chinese Hope TV staff and her son Fang Shen(boy) passed away in a house fire accident in the early morning of April 5 in the local time. It is with the sadness of the tragic loss of our precious mission family members.
Monica Shih was born in 1974, Tainan, Taiwan. She has two brothers and she is the only and beloved girl in the family.
After graduated from high school, she went to Taiwan Adventist college in 1998 and was granted a Social worker degree in 2002. During the TAC she accept Jesus as her Savior.
She joined CHUM(Chinese Union Mission) Media Center in 2003 as a radio studio technician helping to produce AWR programs. 2009 she continued her media service in Chinese Hope TV. Total served in denomination 15 years.
Monica married to Lu, Chuan Chi （呂傳奇） in 2010, and has a lovely boy Fang Shen（芳聖） in the following year.
April 5, 2018, she rested in Christ by a fire accident with her only boy in 7 years old.
We miss her so much as a faithful worker in media ministry, also we miss her serving in Puli church as a treasurer and director of Children ministry.
