To begin the new year in a positive way, the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) directors and staff met together each morning, from January 2 to 13, 2017, at the Ilsan English Seventh-day Adventist Church to worship, spend time in prayer, and plead for the Holy Spirit.
The 10 Days of Prayer was coordinated by NSD’s In-House Revival and Reformation Committee, following the resources and suggestions provided by the General Conference prayer ministries (http://www.tendaysofprayer.org). God has worked many miracles through the 10 Days of Prayer since it began as Operation Global Rain in 2006. The Holy Spirit has brought about revival, conversions, renewed passion for evangelism, and healed relationships. Prayer is truly the birthplace of revival!
The NSD has participated in the 10 Days of Prayer for the past few years and has been encouraged by the results. This year was no exception. Many were able to give testimonies regarding special answers to prayer. The facilitators received several comments and testimonies of personal prayers answered during the 10 days. More than one shared that they were grateful for the way the Lord had spoken to their hearts in a special way while praying as a group. Others shared that they were blessed by participating in the 10 Days of Prayer and were inspired to continue praying for specific answers to their prayers.
The 10 Days of Prayer was not intended to be merely an event that had to be checked off a list. There are huge challenges in the world, in the NSD, and in our personal lives. The 10 Days of Prayer provided a time for focus, submission, and rededication to what God is asking us to do today and every day toward these challenges. Let each of us continue to pray for the Holy Spirit to be poured out in greater measure!
