President of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD), Dr Jairyong Lee, visited the Asia-Pacific International University from August 6-8, 2013 and had an opportunity to speak to students who were attending the university from the countries of the NSD namely, Mongolia, China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan.
About 45 students showed up with the largest group coming from China in addition to the group of 34 CLAP (Communication & Leadership Advancement Program) participants who had just begun their training there.
In his worship talk, Dr Lee reminded the group as to why we bore the name, "Seventh-day Adventist", and gave an overview of our church in terms of how it is organized and operated. He highlighted the thrust of NSD with the slogan of "Mission First" in all its activities and initiatives.
He shared the exciting DVD entitled "Mission First" that captures some of the main thrusts of the Division. At the end of his presentation, he invited the students to stay behind for a chat and encouraged them to connect with NSD should they need any help. Dr Lee saw in the students an army of future workers who will help to fulfill Christ’s mission on this earth and prepare a people to meet Him when He comes.
