NSD Holds Week of Spiritual Emphasis

The Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) office family had the special joy of precious time in God’s Word during its 2015 Week of Spiritual Emphasis. Our speakers were spiritual leaders from the NSD ministry team. Speakers focused their message on the theme “Completing the Mission in Our Day.”

On Monday, NSD president Jairyong Lee shared a message from Acts 1:8-9, “His Power for Our Mission.” Pastor Kim SiYoung, Pioneer Mission Movementdirector, led us through a passage from Nehemiah 11:1-2, “The Men Who Volunteered to Live in Jerusalem.” Then on Wednesday, Pastor Stanley Ng, assistant to the president for China Affairs, took us back to Nehemiah 1:1-4, “Completing the Mission with Spiritual Leadership.” On Thursday, Pastor Joo MinHo, assistant to the president, led us through Luke 24:13-35, “Covered, Discovered, and Recovered.” Pastor David Ripley, ministerial secretary, called for us to claim the promise from Joshua 1:3 and Deuteronomy 11:24, “Wherever Your Feet Step, I Will Give to You.” We all responded to Pastor David’s appeal for prayer signifying our willingness to join God’s plan for completing the mission in our day.

After each message, we bowed for united prayer mentioning each part of the NSD mission territory, asking God to multiply our fruitfulness in mission for His kingdom. Together we asked God to complete His mission through the efforts of all our mission territory members. As we sang our theme song, “Watch, Ye Saints,” we felt renewed spiritual commitment and courage to serve God with joy and united purpose. It was a special blessing to have guests attend this spiritual time, including Bill Knott, Review & Herald editor, Claude Richli Adventist World publisher, and Juan Prestol-Puesan, under treasurer of the General Conference. Our visitors also included Health and Ministerial leaders from the NSD mission territory who were attending the Comprehensive Health Ministry planning session.

We want to thank each of our speakers for their ministry to us from God’s Word. We also thank the In-House Revival and Reformation Committee members for their careful preparations. We were so encouraged by the Golden Angels ministry in music each day,and we thank NSD graphic designer Mrs. Lee AhnSook for the very meaningful banner that featured a picture inviting us to join Jesus on the banks of the Jordan River.
