The first day of mid-year meeting of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division began on the afternoon of May 21, 2024. Notably, this meeting was held via Zoom for convenience and to maximize efficiency. For this meeting, 46 executive committee members, 21 invitees, and 2 special invitees participated, totaling 68 members. The meeting commenced with a devotional program featuring the “I WILL GO” theme song. Ashir Khan, executive secretary of PKU, delivered a message to the participants titled “Chosen For Mission,” drawing from John 15:16. He emphasized that God requires total commitment to reach the unreached and highlighted the need to be ready with the armor of God as described in Ephesians 6:10-17.

Following the message, Kim YoHan, the President of the NSD, remarked, “Although we are meeting through Zoom, it is our pleasure and an exciting moment as we gather together. I pray that all members would be healthy and happy during this meeting.” Pastor Kim then introduced and welcomed leaders who newly joined from four countries: Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

After the welcome and opening ceremony, the first business session was held. Leaders discussed various agenda items. Following the business session, reports were presented from Taiwan Adventist College, Signs of the Times Publishing Association, Taiwan Adventist Hospital, Bangladesh Union Mission, and Pakistan Union Section. After the reports, the second business session took place, and the first day of the mid-year meeting of NSD concluded with a prayer session. Through this mid-year meeting, leaders expressed their hope that correct choices and decisions would be made.
