North Korean Mission Committee in the USA

The first meeting of the North Korean Mission Committee in the USA, was held at the Garden Grove Church on March 27, 2013. Dr. Jairyong Lee, Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) President, and Dr. SiYoung Kim, NSD North Korean Mission Coordinator, also attended the meeting.

Various reports on North Korean mission were given during the meeting. Work of the Council for Peace and Cooperation, World Mission Association, Korean Union Conference, and North Korean Children Supporting project, as well as the  opening of the Pyongyang Dental Hospital were introduced. Research on the current and future political situation of North Korea was also presented.

“Although there really are many limitations, the mission for North Korea cannot be neglected. NSD has supported North Korean people as much as possible and it will continue to do its best,” said Dr. Jairyong Lee.

During the meeting, the Committee agreed to unify the different works of the many mission organizations into one and chose a new executive team.
