Mongolia Public Campus Ministries Total Student Involvement Camp

The Public Campus Ministries (PCM) Department of the Mongolia Mission (MM) held the “Total Student Involvement Summer Camp” from July 4 to 7, 2019, at the Youth Training Center. This is the first summer camp that the MM PCM Department launched. The main target of the camp was young people, specifically college students.

Prior to the summer camp, two PCM missionaries who were dispatched from the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) and the MM PCM Department conducted evangelistic meetings in several regions in Mongolia for a month in June in order to promote the camp.
Pastor Kim NakHyung, NSD Youth Ministries director, preached a sermon every morning and evening during the camp. In the afternoon, there were various programs, such as Bible study, small group activities, and talent shows. Even though young people in Mongolia tend to individualistic and usually do not like groups, the camp participants enjoyed small group activities and were taught the Bible by teachers of the same age. It was a valuable lesson from the camp that they can be united as one family in the Adventist Church.

Through the camp, eight young people were baptized and born again as members of the Adventist family. Mugii, 20-year-old Ottontenger University student, served as a volunteer for the camp and met Jesus Christ, and eventually received baptism. Enkhee, 19-year-old university student, was also born again by baptism during the camp. Her heart was moved by her friends’ baptism and she finally decided to be baptized.
Public Campus Ministries in Mongolia is just beginning. Mongolia is exceptionally rich in resource of young people, especially college students. Please pray for the campus ministries in Mongolia so that it brings many souls to our Lord Jesus Christ.
