MMF Youth Department Sponsored 3rd Music Festival

About three hundred Seventh-day Adventists from both the capital city and the countryside gathered at Ulaanbaatar Central Church on the 2nd of December 2011, to witness a display of talents among its members who participated in the 3rd Music Festival sponsored by the Youth Department of Mongolia Mission Field.

Twelve choral groups representing ten churches joined the event. Each group, which consists of eight members, beautifully rendered two hymns of praise that set the tone for the Sabbath. Aside from the display of vocal prowess, some song numbers were accompanied with musical instruments that brought much delight to the congregation. The efforts of the participating churches were given due recognition in the form of tokens presented by the Youth Director, Pastor Kang Ha Shik. In particular, the following churches, ranked in order, got the most coveted gifts: Amazing Church, Ulaanbaatar Central Church, Arkhangai and Uvurkhangi Church.

Indeed, it was a spectacular night aimed to promote church fellowship and to encourage church members, especially the young people, to partake in the gospel of Christ through singing ministry. We are to celebrate God’s gifts, and part of the celebration process is to share our talents for the glory of His name.  As it is written in Matthew 25:29 (NIV), “For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.”
