MISSION 2016: Life-Changing Power!

Mongolia Mission, with the support of Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) leaders, is planning to run a bold and remarkable 1-week evangelistic series from September 4 to 10, 2016, entitled “Mission 2016.” To discuss the strategies and plans that will guide the actions before, during and after the evangelistic campaign, more than 40 attendees, mostly pastors and elders, joined a special forum which was held in Ulaanbaatar (UB), the capital city of Mongolia, on April 15, 2016.

In line with the NSD Vision One Million 2020, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Mongolia set a goal of having 200 baptisms at the end of the meetings, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

For Pastor Nyamdavaa, Mongolia Mission ministerial and evangelism director, Mission 2016 is one of the highlighted projects during this current year. “Soul winning is our vision, our goal and our mission. We have 13 churches in the UB area, and all of them will be totally involved in this huge evangelistic project,” he said.

Two years ago, in 2014, the SDA Church in Mongolia conducted UB-14, which took place only in Ulaanbaatar. This time, however, Mongolia Mission intentionally changed the name of the project to “Mission 2016” in order to involve the church members not only in the capital city, but also in the countryside area. The main idea is to get churches engaged in gospel work.

Pastor Kim SiYoung, NSD Adventist Mission & PMM director, preached and also presented some lectures during the meeting. Addressing the leaders, he said, “If pastors and elders catch the vision, our local churches will be different, totally mission-oriented.” According to Pastor Kim, that’s why “leadership is the key for Mission 2016 evangelistic efforts.”Also, according to Pastor Kim, “our hearts should always burn as we participate in soul winning; if so, our people will follow our steps in order to fully accomplish this challenge.”

The Great Commission was given for each one of us. Everybody in the Church has been called by God to fulfill His command, namely, make disciples. Please pray for Mission 2016. We believe that the Lord has the real power that changes lives and He wants to do this in us and through us.
