It was early morning when we arrived in Falakata, West Bengal. It was difficult driving through the thick fog. Our plan was to establish the 1000 Missionary Movement India branch campus in this town. We asked God to help us.
While we were building the campus, our missionaries had to go through training without a cafeteria or classrooms. Even though their training and even their meals took place in a bamboo tent, no one complained about the poor facility.
After we finished training the 12th batch missionaries with God’s help and guidance, we started focusing more on construction. However, we soon encountered the severest financial trouble we’ve had. We nearly ran out of our entire budget, and we had no choice but to stop building in the middle of construction.
The campus was very quiet because there was no construction sound to be heard. We prayed to God seeking His help diligently. We were on our knees day and night, and we believe that our Lord was always beside us holding our hands.
About a week after the construction ceased, we received a phone call from one of our sponsors who had good news for us. He told that he would send the amount of money we needed in order to complete the rest of the building. We were filled with joy as we could start construction again. Because of this experience, our faith was strengthened and we learned that we should depend completely on Him without doubt.
We had the inauguration of the main building and staff quarters of our new campus on November 4, 2015. Pastor Ezras Lakra, Southern Asia Division president, Mr. Ramesh Fendall, principal of Raymond School in West Bengal, the Union officers and other local church pastors were our guests of honor. At present, the cafeteria building is in progress, and the construction is going on in faith. We trust that our faithful God will meet our needs as we still have quite a bit of construction work. We solicit your prayers and moral support.
