I Will Go, Beyond Hope and Expectations!

The new phase of the Korean Union Conference (KUC) started in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. But by the grace of God and His guidance, KUC was able to quickly adapt to the “unusual” missional challenges and difficulties. Here are some of the steps KUC took in initiating the I Will Go mission strategy.

Under the vision, “I Will Go, Beyond Hope and Expectations!” KUC strives to concentrate on three key missional focuses, which follow the three first letters of I Will Go.
Identity Recovery: The Adventist Church is a remnant church, and the members are its remnant people. Therefore, we should have a clear and vivid mission.
Work for Revival and Reformation: Experiencing personal revival and reformation is crucial in preparing for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. All the institutions and organizations in KUC should endeavor to bring revival and reformation.
Go to the World: Increasing KUC’s contribution to the world mission is crucial for God’s mission. The Korean Church has grown to what it is today with the sacrifice and passion of the missionaries who brought the gospel 117 years ago. Now, it is our turn to return the favor to other countries and increase the role in serving the Adventist world church, especially in the 10/40 window, the area of the world with the greatest need of the gospel.
KUC has carried out a nationwide I Will Go survey in cooperation with its five local conferences, one attached field, and all of its institutions. All conferences and institutions have established an I Will Go committee and have begun to set specific plans and goals according to I Will Go KPIs and the results of the survey. This survey will be conducted every two years.
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me’” (Isaiah 6:8). Please continue to pray for KUC and the I Will Go mission initiative.
