Hong Kong Adventists Build Harmony in Community

Shan King Integrated Children and Youth Service Center, an Adventist community service center in Hong Kong, held a carnival for the residents in the nearby communities on October 26, 2016. The event was sponsored by Tuen Mun District Council at Shan King Community.

Pastor Heywood Cham, president and chairman of the social service committee of Hong Kong-Macao Conference, unveiled the carnival by offering the opening prayer. Principals of local schools and government officials also attended the carnival.

There were performances and other entertainment brought by different groups. Visitors to the event also had the chance to play fun games to win prizes. The event was lively and colorful and put smiles onto the faces of many visitors.

The Adventist Church hopes to reach out to the communities through more similar services and events. By building harmony in society, we spread Christ’s love to this stress-filled international city of Hong Kong.
