On December 11 of 2014, Hong Kong-Macao Conference (HKMC) staff visited a rehabilitation center for juvenile delinquents located on Lantau Island, one of the largest outlying islands in Hong Kong SAR.It was the annual Mission Day and HKMC staff decided to do something different. At 9:00 am, more than fifty staff members boarded a boat and headed toward Christian Zheng Sheng College, a non-profit institution operated by a Christian charity to rehabilitate troubled youth.
These Adventist visitors brought 22 cases of white copier paper as gifts to the special school. They were warmly welcome by the teachers and students. One of the teachers showed the visitors around the campus. HKMC staff was impressed by the positive impact that the school has been making upon its students. Every student here had made some terrible mistakes in life in the past. Some were drug addicts. Some committed minor offences. Every one of them came to this school voluntarily.

Their lives have changed. One female student shared her testimony. She told the story about how she broke the law and broke up with her family. When she came to Christian Zheng Sheng College, she was resisting rehabilitation. Gradually she yielded to the love and power of Christ. She began to overcome her problems. Her testimony touched the hearts of her Adventist audience who applauded in return.
HKMC staff witnessed the gospel in action. And they are encouraged to bring the life-changing power of Christ to the people living in Hong Kong and Macao.
