HisHands Dedication at Taiwan Adventist College

YuChih Church at Taiwan Adventist College had a HisHands Mission Movement training workshop and seminar from March 13 to 14, 2015. About 150 participants, which included staff members and students from Taiwan Adventist Academy and Taiwan Adventist College (TAC), attended this training.

The speaker was Pastor Han SukHee, Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) HisHands coordinator. Attendees were inspired by the HisHands mission spirit and the relationship-based evangelism of Jesus. The training was meaningful because it was part of a TAC project to encourage students to develop a mission-oriented spirit.

On Sabbath afternoon, after the dedication and pinning ceremonies, staff members and students went off-campus to YuChih Village in pairs for door-to-door visitation. Villagers were impressed with the visitations and expressed a willingness to know more about health messages.“There is no failure when it comes to evangelistic activities, but an issue between obedience and disobedience,” said Pastor Han. Staff members and students pledged to continually work to accomplish the mission given to them.

Pastor George Liu, the pastor of YuChih Church, was glad that TAC had this opportunity to train the church members. Not only can staff members and students help the YuChih community, but they can also help their local churches when they go home or after they leave school. In the near future, TAC is planning to ask the NSD to assist in a session of health evangelism training. This is their hope and prayer.

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28:19-20).
