From November 13 to December 3, 2016, we, the Golden Angels 13th batch, went on a mission trip to Taiwan. We helped out with crusade meetings for three weeks, starting from Taitung Church and continuing on to churches in Yilan and Douliu.
With the blessing of great weather in Taitung, we visited houses and distributed brochures to people on the streets to invite them to the meetings. Many of them greeted us kindly. One woman who was working in a bakery gave us some bread to encourage us. We also visited the homes of several church members who suffer from illness in order to deliver comfort from our heavenly God. In the evenings, church members and Bible seekers were able to enjoy the sermons and health talks.
We continued our ministry in Yilan Church, this time with a missionary team from Western Central Korean Conference. We were able to get in contact with many Bible seekers through various booth activities, health seminars, foot massage, oriental cure, acupuncture, aroma oil cure, DIY, and Korean language classes. “It was truly a great week for us,” the church visitors said, and they were appreciative of the love of the missionaries.
Through the grace of God and the missionaries’ dedicated work, a man who had visited the church for the first time and one woman who had attended church but had not yet made the decision for baptism were baptized that Sabbath. They stated that they had experienced the love of Jesus Christ through the mission teams.
In Douliu Church, the third phase of our mission trip, we saw great hope because more than half of the visitors were young people. The Golden Angels went out to a train station and to universities near the church to distribute brochures and invite people to the church.
We also held joint concerts with college music bands at two universities. Through the concerts, about 200 students listened to the heavenly music and were invited to the church. We also mingled with 130 college students in the Korean language classes and brought them to the crusade meeting to hear the gospel.
This was the last mission trip for the Golden Angels 13th batch. As it was our last opportunity, we tried to do our best in ministry. We sincerely hope that the seeds of God’s word and love we spread will reach many people in Taiwan. Please pray with us that the love of the Jesus Christ will overflow in this beautiful country.
