Golden Angels 9 Taiwan Mission Trip

The beginning of the end has come. The singing missionaries of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD), Golden Angels 9, had a great opportunity to spread the gospel in Taiwan. November 11, 2012, they departed from Korea traveling to Taiwan for their very last mission trip. Though they are in their very last mission trip, they started their special mission with the conviction that, "If God is with us, who can be against us?" God’s army is now ready for the battle!

From November 11 to November 17, at the ShinTien Church, an evangelistic meeting was held. Those who participated were Dr. Sally Phoon, NSD Director of the Children, Women, and Family Ministries Department, Dr. Chek Yat Phoon, NSD Education Director, the Golden Angels 9, and the Pioneer Mission Movement (PMM) Pastor SeokWoo Kim’s family. They visited the houses of several church members every day at 10 a.m., to inspire, and encourage them with God’s Word and music. They also distributed tracks to the people to invite them to the evangelistic meetings. Every night, the Golden Angels 9 held a mini-concert for 30 minutes at the beginning of the program. Dr. Phoon, and his wife, Dr. Sally Phoon, were the main speakers for the whole week. The theme of the meetings was “Happy Home: Our Joy and Hope.” On Sabbath, the angels in heaven were gladly rejoicing as four souls were successfully brought to Jesus Christ.

The next meetings were held from November 18 to November 24, at the SsuanGi Church, which is approximately three hours away from the ShinTien Church. The Golden Angels 9, along with Pastor Tom Huang, and Pastor Kim NakHyung, visited church members, singing with them, and praying for them. They also visited the village’s Police Station, Fire Station, and the local government offices to offer songs, prayer, and to invite them to the upcoming evangelistic meetings. They also conducted a concert for the children in the public elementary school. With the NSD Youth Director, Pastor Kim NakHyung, as the main speaker, the evangelistic meetings were held in an open area, just outside the church to easily accommodate all the people from neighborhood. Around 40-50 people regularly attended every night to listen to God’s Word. By the grace of God, seven precious souls willingly offered their entire lives unto the Lord on the Sabbath Day.

The Golden Angels 9 had their third mission at the Jiai Church. From November 25 to December 1, they served and supported the evangelistic meetings with the main speaker, Pastor JohngHaeng Kwon, the NSD Global Mission Director. Every morning, the group gave a mini-concert at the Chiayi Church. The main speaker delivered God’s message which was followed by a Korean Food cooking class. In the evening, the evangelistic meetings were held in an open area just outside the city’s largest shopping mall. After the program, the Golden Angels 9 would assist in the Korean handicrafts activity being held for all the attendees. On Sabbath, three precious souls were baptized and became God’s new children by His grace.
From December 2 to December 8, Golden Angels 9 had another blessing in the Dali PMM Church. They had a concert every day and they delivered the message of the Gospel to the people in the mission field around the Dali PMM church. In the Dali church, PMM Pastor SungChul Yoon himself was the speaker, and the Golden Angels supported the evangelistic meetings with a musical concert, and many other activities.

The Golden Angels 9 also spent the last two weeks of their ministry at two more churches. From December 9 to December 15, they were at the Taidong Church and from December 16 to December 19 at the Banchiao Church. The main speaker of the evangelistic meetings at the Taidong Church, Dr. Ha HongPal, NSD Assistant to the President for General Affairs, shared blessings from the Word of God with the people. The Golden Angels 9 had a music concert every meeting as well, and had special fellowship activities with the young people there. At the Banchiao Church, the Golden Angels 9 fully focused on music ministry. Several times they held a large concert, as well as many other mini concerts for people around the Banchiao Church.
