We, the Golden Angels 11th group, visited several Sahmyook middle and high schools and also some local churches in Korea. We visited three schools: Seoul Sahmyook Middle and High School (June 10), SeoHae Sahmyook Middle and High School (June 23), and DongHae Sahmyook Middle and High School (July 1).
At the schools, we had a chance to talk to the students. Pastor Kim Nakhyeong and Pastor Park Geonchun said some encouraging words, and we sang a song to help them connect with the Holy Spirit. During that time, we also felt that the Spirit is with us! We had a great experience. We praise the Lord our God. He really listens to our prayers and praises.
We also visited some churches in Korea. First, we visited CheongSo Church and Daecheon Church on June 28. In Korea, there seems to be more older people than young people. I think we need to overcome that situation. If time passes without any changes, our church will lose the power to spread the gospel. We still want to spread the gospel, and to make this dream come true, we need to raise the younger generation.
Next, we visited the Multicultural Family Center on July 12. We sang praises during the Sabbath school program and in the afternoon. During the concert, the music suddenly turned off, so we had to sing without the sound track. Despite the situation, by God’s grace and mercy we were able to finish gracefully.
After that, we visited HwaSoon Church on July 18, near the home of Michael, one of our members. It took a long time to get there, but God gave us strength and energy so that we could spread His words and praises to every church member. It was a great experience feeling that God is with us.
Our next stop was the Cornerstone Church on July 19. This is a new church, and they have a passion for God’s words and are eager to spread the gospel. When we were having our program there, we sang together, and all of us were touched.
Our fifth stop was BiddGoEul church on July 19. This church is really big, and our equipment seemed inadequate. We tried to connect with theirs, but we couldn’t, so we ended up having to use our equipment. Fortunately, we were still able to cover the church. Surely, God must have helped us.
The last church was ToeGyeWon Church on August 1, where Sunny, our soprano singer, used to attend. When we went there, we sang our new songs, and we spread the message through the lyrics. In addition to the church members, we were also touched by the lyrics of the song.
Thanks to the prayers of those who were praying for the Golden Angels mission trip, we were able to overcome the situation we faced at every moment.
