On February 13, Mrs Miriam Yoon-Welch became the first Korean Woman to graduate with a Doctor of Ministry degree from Sahmyook University. Gaining admission into the program was not a piece of cake because of existing policies. On top of this, Miriam is legally blind–all her life, she has had a dozen operations in attempts to restore her eyesight but without any success.

Born into a pastor’s family, Miriam has been specially chosen by God to a life of ministry, and she has found comfort and peace of mind in a Savior who understands what it is like to be ridiculed by others. We praise God for what He has accomplished through Miriam’s life, and wish her God’s greatest blessings as she continues to serve Him.
