Experiencing Summer Camp Bliss

One of the major activities that is awaited with much anticipation is the Summer Camp in Mongolia. Not only is it a good breather from the long winter, but it is a great time to fellowship among the Seventh-day Adventist churches coming from the capital city and from the countryside.

This year’s attendance of roughly five hundred fifty people was remarkable. The camp meeting took place at Khairthaan Resort from July 24 to 27, 2014, with Pastors Dale Tunnel from Tennessee, USA, and Russ Will from Queensland, Australia, as the main speakers.

Their morning and evening sermons were about the lives of Joseph, Abraham and other Old Testament Bible heroes, in line with the theme “In His Step.” The campers who came as families were catered to with varied spiritual, musical and social programs for youth, adults, women, and children, including a prayer walk, sports, and health seminars.

Among the highlights of the summer camp were the ordination of two Mongolian pastors and the baptism of eleven new church members on July 25 and 26, respectively.
