The East Central Korean Conference (ECKC) held a spiritual life camp for teenagers at the Student Mission Center. Twenty-three participants attended the camp from January 10 to 15, 2016, to receive training in Bible study, prayer, and Christian life.
The camp targets student leaders, missionary applicants, and theology-major applicants within the ECKC, and its purpose is to provide spiritual training to help participants be like Jesus and to be His disciples. Participants at the camp learned about Bible meditation, prayer, prophecy, doctrines, Adventist history, worship training, spirituality, time management, dating, and communication skills for Christian living.
Attendees also had the chance to focus on healing the wounds in their hearts and minds during healing time, which was included in the program for the first time. They shared their pain and prayed together that they would grow more in faith.
“Because of the camp, I have learned how to deeply meditate on God and the Bible. I also realize that the reason I must study is to accomplish my dream in God,” said a participant.
“I was sorry that there were many students who could not attend because of the limit on the number of attendees,” said Pastor Cha MinKyung, the camp manager. I hope many more students will learn about the Student Mission Center.”
