GC delegates voted in favor of continuing incumbent Northern Asia-Pacific Division president Dr. Jairyong Lee to another five years in office on Sunday in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Jairyong Lee is a man of mission and vision. His passion for spreading the gospel message around the globe led him to establish various mission initiatives and missionary movements.
Jairyong Lee, Th.D, received his under graduate training from Sahmyook University, Korea (B.A. in Theology). He continued further studies at Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS), Philippines (M.A. in Religion, M. Div) and Andrews University, USA (Th.D in Systematic Theology).

His service began as a local Seventh Day Adventist Church pastor in Korea. Following that he was a professor of Theology at both Shamyook University in Korea and AIIAS in the Philippines. He also served as the dean of Theological Seminary at AIIAS.
His love for spreading the good news of Christ’s soon return led him to the position of Director of the 1000 Missionary movement in both the Philippines and the United States.
He has been serving as the President of Northern Asia-Pacific Division since 2003 and having previously served as the Ministerial Association Secretary, Stewardship Director and Global Mission Coordinator for the NSD.
Dr. Lee and his wife, Ahn Sook proudly watch the careers of their two grown children.
