Bangladesh Union Celebrates Adventist Possibility Ministries Sabbath

On April 19, 2025, the Bangladesh Adventist Union Mission celebrated Adventist Possibility Ministries (APM) Sabbath throughout its territories, honoring individuals with special needs—including widows, widowers, and people with disabilities.

With the theme “Reaching Everyone,” this year’s Sabbath focused on breaking social barriers and extending Christlike compassion to all. Pastor Ronilsom Alves Pinto from the North Pará Mission in Brazil wrote the official sermon. As someone who overcame cerebral palsy to become a pastor, he shared a powerful message that challenged churches to recognize the value and potential of every person.

Churches across Bangladesh actively organized special worship services, prayer gatherings, and outreach programs. Members warmly welcomed participants with special needs, presented them with thoughtful gifts, and surrounded them with love and care. The joy and appreciation expressed by the recipients deeply touched all in attendance.

One of the most heartfelt moments came when a young girl with a disability chose to be baptized during the service. Her public declaration of faith served as a powerful testimony to God’s inclusive love and the church’s mission to embrace all. Members continue to uplift her in prayer.

By observing this special Sabbath, the Bangladesh Union reaffirmed its commitment to building a church that not only includes but empowers individuals with special needs. Through meaningful action and intentional ministry, the Union demonstrated that every person matters and has a unique role in God’s mission.
