We Are a People of Mission
Warm and cordial greetings to our brothers and sisters around the world!
In the precious name of our Lord, I extend my warmest greetings to each of you. As I write this message, my heart is filled with gratitude and reverence. It is my earnest prayer that the abundant grace, protection, and blessings of our Heavenly Father rest upon you, your families, and your ministries. May His peace guide your hearts and His presence continually inspire your service.
I am Pastor Soon-gi Kang, recently called to serve as President of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division during the 62nd General Conference Session, held in St. Louis, Missouri, from July 3 to 12. Embracing God’s holy calling, I am determined to follow His guidance with a humble heart, striving to be a faithful servant.
We are living in a critical time in earth’s history – a time many recognize as the nearing climax of the great controversy between good and evil. As the remnant people of God, we have not been left as bystanders in this unfolding story. We have been entrusted with the solemn and urgent mission: to proclaim the everlasting gospel of the Three Angels’ Messages to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people. Our responsibility is to share the blessed news of Jesus Christ’s second coming with all the earth, as God’s chosen people.
This is not a passive calling – it is a prophetic mandate. We are a people of mission and hope, entrusted with the responsibility to herald the restoration of this earth and the establishment of God’s eternal kingdom. In pursuit of this mission, we are embracing “Mission Refocus” as our strategic direction, seeking to unite Adventists across our Division and around the world in prayer, collaboration, and bold evangelistic outreach. Through the Global Total Member Involvement (TMI) initiative, we are encouraging every member to be actively involved in fulfilling the Gospel Commission.
Let us move forward together in unity, with renewed dedication to our mission, and with eyes fixed on the blessed hope—the soon return of our Lord. We are the Remnant, united as one with fellow Adventists worldwide, carrying out a sacred mission. May the grace, peace, and power of God be with each of you in abundant measure. Maranatha!

NSD Mission Statement
The mission of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division of Seventh-day Adventists is to communicate to all peoples in its territory the everlasting gospel of God’s love in the context of the three angels’ messages of Revelation 14:6-12, and as revealed in the life, death, resurrection, and high priestly ministry of Jesus Christ, leading them to accept Jesus as their personal Saviour and Lord and to unite with His remnant church; and to nurture believers as disciples in preparation for His soon return, and to equip and empower them for service.
