NSD Youth Celebrate 75th World Pathfinder Day at MASS

The Youth Department of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) celebrated the 75th World Pathfinder Day with a weeklong program held at the Monosapara Adventist Seminary and School (MASS) from September 14 to 20.

From September 14 to 18, 450 students, supported by over 20 staff members, participated in meaningful community service activities. These included public area cleaning, health checkups, tutoring, Bible studies, gardening, elderly care, and a symbolic tree-planting event emphasizing the importance of protecting God’s creation.

On the evening of September 19, the week’s activities were reported during the vespers service, followed by an inspiring message from Shohag Boidya, Youth Director of the Bangladesh Adventist Union Mission. The celebration culminated on Sabbath, with a grand entrance featuring the entire student body’s coordinated drilling and marching. The program continued with the singing of the Pathfinder song, the recitation of the pledge, and the Pathfinder law. Choi HoYoung, Youth Director of the NSD, delivered the Sabbath message under the theme “Pathfinders on Purpose”, drawing lessons from the life of David and highlighting how God’s purpose can be fulfilled in today’s youth.

Reflecting on the occasion, Pastor Choi shared, “I was deeply touched as I attended the 75th World Pathfinder Day celebration organized by the Bangladesh Union and the North Bangladesh Mission Youth Department. Although it was held in a small rural Adventist school, I was greatly impressed to see how they practiced the spirit of salvation and service together with two million Pathfinders around the world. Once again, I could confirm the excellence of the Pathfinder ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.”
