First Mothers’ Conference in Mongolia Ignites a Movement of Faith

The Mongolian Mission (MM) of Seventh-day Adventists hosted its first-ever Conference for Mothers under the uplifting theme “Flourish Where You Are Planted.” The event took place at Suut Resort, a church-owned retreat center located near Ulaanbaatar. It brought together women from across the country to empower and equip them for spiritual leadership at home and in the church.

Ooyo Batsukh, Director of Women’s Ministries and Family Ministries of the MM, organized the conference and anchored the program in the biblical verse, “A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown” (Proverbs 12:4). The program emphasized the vital role of mothers in passing down faith to the next generation.

A total of 101 women attended in person at Suut, while more than 70 others participated online. This hybrid format created a spiritually unifying experience for mothers across Mongolia.

The multi-day event featured inspiring messages from mission leaders, interactive workshops on parenting and guiding wayward children, prayer sessions, and meaningful fellowship. Each morning began with a prayer walk, where mothers lifted their children to God—capturing the heart of the conference.

Participants engaged in prayer journaling, sharing testimonies, and writing prayers together. Along with spiritual enrichment, the women also acquired practical skills to strengthen their roles in their families and communities.

A baptismal ceremony on Sabbath became the spiritual highlight of the conference. Several women publicly dedicated their lives to Jesus, creating a decisive and emotional moment for their families and local churches.

“Mothers are the center,” said Ooyo Batsukh. “Their faith sets the tone in the home, and their influence shapes the spiritual health of the church.”

This historic gathering was more than just an event. It inspired a movement of mothers rooted in Christ, determined to flourish where they are planted, and committed to preparing their children for the soon coming of Jesus.
