From May 20 to 21, 2025, the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) held its annual Midyear Meeting online. Over 65 participants, including division officers, institutional leaders, and delegates from various unions and missions, joined the meeting via Zoom, continuing the virtual format adopted last year. This format provided both convenience and cost-efficiency.
The meeting began with the theme song “I Will Go,” followed by a welcome message from NSD President Kim YoHan. He thanked participants from eight countries and introduced former NSD presidents and newly appointed committee members.

Former NSD Presidents Lee JaiRyong and Kim SiYoung delivered the devotional message, setting a spiritually grounded tone that reflected the spirit of the “I Will Go” mission initiative.
Kim SunHwan, Adventist Mission director of the NSD, presented a key report on Loud Voice 2025. Leaders from Taiwan Adventist College (TAC), Taiwan Adventist Hospital (TAH), and the Signs of the Times Publishing Association (STPA) also reported on their respective institutions, highlighting active mission efforts in education, healthcare, and publishing.
A major focus of the agenda was preparing for the 62nd General Conference Session, scheduled for July in St. Louis, Missouri. NSD organized a delegation of 81 members and hosted an orientation on the evening of May 20 to train delegates on using the ElectionBuddy electronic voting system and review GC session procedures.
Regarding administrative planning, participants reviewed and accepted the 2024 financial report, reaffirmed meeting schedules and venues for 2025–2026, and received guidance on the updated Conflict of Interest and Commitment policy to ensure ethical governance.
Each day concluded with a devotional prayer time led by Raquel Arrais, Women’s, Family, and Children’s Ministries director of the NSD, who reminded participants that all decisions and plans should be made in the presence of God.

At the close of the meeting, President Kim YoHan expressed his heartfelt appreciation, saying,
“Thank you for our work together over the past three years. Unity and harmony within the NSD family are more important than ever. Let us serve not for titles or recognition but for the glory of God.”
He also acknowledged the dedication of fellow officers and departmental directors, adding,
“Until we meet again, may we continue to guide and support one another in our shared mission.”
The 2025 Midyear Meeting reaffirmed NSD’s mission priorities and renewed its commitment to following God’s guidance as part of the global Seventh-day Adventist Church. It also focused on preparations for the upcoming General Conference Session.
