Publishing ministries, as the name implies, preaches the gospel of God with words. In the early days there were various evangelistic tracts distributed everywhere. Nowadays, due to the development of the media and the Internet, coupled with the fact that there is no time to read books because of busy schedules, the work of literature evangelism has gradually been replaced and weakened.
Even when books introduced by literature evangelists are placed on the bookcase at home, no one is looking at them. But I still believe that God will take care of His truth, and when the time comes, someone will find these books and magazines to read. God will deliver the truth in these books and give peace and hope to distressed souls at the time most needed. His love will shine through, and the understanding of forgiveness of sins will give precious relief—through the years, much literature has helped people live meaningful and worthwhile lives.
The work of literature evangelists has never stopped. In every corner of Taiwan, they carry out evangelism through publications. Even with COVID-19 in 2021, the results have not diminished. On the contrary, under God’s guidance, literature evangelists have made progress in 2021, and we must continue to share our testimonies through these missionaries.
On Feb. 7-9, 2022, Taiwan Conference (TWC) Publishing Ministries department held a three-day retreat at Formosa Naruwan Hotel Resort in Taitung, Tawian. At the retreat, literature evangelists shared their experiences and moving testimonies. While inspiring and encouraging one another, they re-affirmed their mission and responsibilities more clearly, and once again were assured that they are all messengers of the gospel. Those attending decided to always adhere to this spirit, to endeavor to spread the good news of Jesus, and help more people know Jesus to change their lives.
