The Most Beautiful Two Hours in a Week

Not long after the year 2020 began, the COVID-19 pandemic came along to many countries including Mongolia. Everyone was scared of getting sick. The grocery shortage, which later turned out to be a false rumor, seemed to begin. Some people were stocking up food for a couple of months, so some items were out of stock at grocery stores. For Adventists in Mongolia, it has been several tough months without worshipping at church.

Even though those time were really tough for us, we never lost our hope that things would get better and normal days would be coming soon. In September 26, 2020, lockdown officially ended in Mongolia. All companies, schools, churches, individuals and other groups started their activities, but there are still some strict rules. For example, buildings have to be disinfected on a regular basis. People have to wash and sanitize their hands often, wear a mask, and keep their distance from other people.
Churches are not allowed to gather more than two hours, and lunch should not be served. Despite these regulations, we are so grateful for God’s blessing and enjoy the time under His house.
With the hope that we have held on to during this time of pandemic, we are waiting for Jesus’ soon coming with patience and faith.
