Global Youth Leaders Congress 2018 Steering Committee in Germany

The General Conference (GC) youth ministries department held the 2018 Global Youth Leaders Congress (GYLC) Steering Committee Meeting in Kassel, Germany, from June 25 to 29, 2017. The committee includes Abner De Los Santos, GC vice president, members of the GC youth ministries department, youth directors of the 13 Divisions, and the local GYLC staff members from the host country, Germany.

The Committee voted on the congress schedule, programs, workshop themes, and speakers for youth leaders. They also discussed other items that need to be arranged for this upcoming international event, such as accommodations, meals, transportation, and pick-up service. The committee members agreed to work on dispatching youth leaders throughout the world through this congress in order to hasten the second coming of Jesus Christ.

GYLC, hosted by the GC youth ministries department, is held every five years. The 2018 GYLC commemorates the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, so the congress aims to inspire young people living in the postmodern age to grow up right in God and protect themselves from secular temptations.

This GYLC will be held from July 31 to August 4, 2018, in Kassel, Germany, the cradle of the Reformation. One week before the GYLC, a Reformation tour around Germany will be provided.
