Medical Missionary Training in Mongolia

The health ministries departments of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) and Mongolia Mission held a medical missionary training program in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from April 26 to 28, 2017.

Dr. Choi YoungIl, NSD health ministries director, was a main speaker, and his seminars dealt with the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s health philosophy and principle, Biblical health principle, Jesus and His healing ministries. He also covered modern medicine, chronic disease prevention, and how to implement health message to mission work in community effectively. Mrs. Enkhbayar Mishigdori, MM health director, presented CELEBRATIONS*, which contains 12 healthful living principles the General Conference recommends. There were group activities related how to do medical mission successfully at a local church and community.

Forty people attended this program and twenty church members have successfully completed all courses. They understood that our health message is very outstanding and practical and has the strong evidence of modern medicine.

As matter of fact, the best medicine in the world is the Holy Spirit so all church members can be a capable medical missionary. All participants made a decision that they devote themselves to proclaiming good news with our health message as a medical missionary.

The MM health department is going to have this program next year again. We all sure that health approach is an opening gate for people’s mind and an efficient instrument of delivering the gospel message to the people. Even though mission work in Mongolia is challenging, God will lead His people to best way for proclaiming the  Three Angels’ Messages.
