Pathfinder Training for 1000MM Missionaries

On January 23, 2017, the Korean Union Conference (KUC) youth ministries department held a special program for Korean missionaries of the 47th batch of the 1000 Missionary Movement (1000MM) who had just finished their service in their respective mission fields. Pastor Lee KiHo, KUC youth ministries director, and other Pathfinder leaders in South Korea went to the 1000MM headquarters for four days to train the missionaries as Pathfinder/Master Guide leaders.

The missionaries were not only trained in spiritual matters, but they also learned physical survival skills, such as camping and building a fire without a lighter. They were also given training on leadership and club organization, which is necessary for Pathfinder/Master Guide leaders.

The missionaries’ one-year outreach experience in their mission field and the knowledge they gained from this training program will help them become true gospel workers as well as great helpers for their local church assignment. We believe that these missionaries will carry the spirit of soul-winning and world mission and that this spirit will spread widely among Korean Adventist youth.
