An Evangelistic Meeting by Japanese Adventist Youth

A youth-led evangelistic meeting was held at Tokyo Central Church on May 8 to 10, 2015, as part of Japan15. In preparation for the meetings, youth department directors from the General Conference and the Northern Asia-Pacific Division came and held training seminars to help the young people be better prepared. Also, to help the staff prepare for winning souls to Christ, the youth committee adopted various tools, such as small groups for Bible study, social networking service to form a prayer group (this prayer group is still in action), and a study meeting during March with about forty young people to deepen their understanding about baptism.

At the meeting, three students from the school of theology at Saniku Gakuin College gave testimonies about love, forgiveness, and salvation. For many participants, it was their first time to enter a church and many of them were moved by the testimonies.

As a result of the prayer group, Bible study and the final meeting, one attendee accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, five are on their way to be baptized in the near future and twenty-six signed up for Bible studies. Those who contributed to this meeting were all blessed by God in a very special way. We truly hope this movement will continue to spread throughout Japan, and we ask you to remember these precious young souls in your prayers.
