On May 8, 2014, seven students at Tusgal Elementary School marched at Ulaanbaatar SDA Central Church to receive their elementary school diplomas. Two of the students were children of the executive secretary and ministerial director of Mongolia Mission and had studied in the school since it opened in 2010. Tusgal Elementary School takes pride that one of its students received a medal from the government for academic excellence.
Due to the lack of Adventist teachers, many of the staff are non-Adventists. The latter who are involved in the program were impressed by how the church conducted the graduation exercise. Apart from academic citations, those enrolled in lower grade levels, including the graduates, were given the opportunity to present musical renditions, including a variety of songsusing different instruments. The parents were very glad to see their children well-honed academically, physically, musically and, above all, spiritually. We praise God for the privilege to serve Him through Adventist education.
