“Give thanks with a grateful heart, Give thanks to the Holy One……”Beautiful singing flows from the sixty-year-old sanctuary of the Kowloon Adventist Church at the Boundary Street, Kowloon District, Hong Kong SAR. It is May 25, the day of graduation for the 100 plus graduates at the Kowloon Sam Yuk Secondary School.
It is the 42nd graduation ceremony in the school’s history. Dr. Wong, a Sam Yuk alumnus and a professor at Lingnan University, is the honored speaker. He challenges the students to never stop learning and to go forward bravely in the days ahead.
Twenty-three outstanding graduates are awarded scholarships for their excellent school performance. Graduates sing Shalom to you, my friend as a way of saying goodbye. It is both a bitter and a sweet moment in life for these promising young people.
