Taiwan Beitun Church devotes all members’ power to evangelism through HHMM

Since Beitun Church was organized in the center of Taizhong city, Taiwan with support from NSD on March 30, 2013, HisHands Mission Movement empowers the church’s mission activities. As the church understood need of the local community through during 2013 five evangelistic meetings including Golden Angels’ evangelistic meeting by Dr. SiYoung Kim in April, Sahmyook Health University College missionary team’s meeting by Pastor JaeGyun Lee in June, DongHae Sahmyook Academy missionary team’s meeting by Pastor HoKyung Kim in July, foot massage health meeting by Elder SeonGyu Nam in October, and HisHands meeting by Pastor SukHee Han in December, this year it directed its all strength to continuous mission training and finding seekers.

About 20 people in average attend the church on Sabbath as it is a newborn church less than a year old, but it provides local community a Korean language class, an English class, foot massage service, and a certificate course. Especially, the church trains all foot massage therapists to be a HisHands missionary, so that they can regularly serve people across Taiwan as well as their own church. Then, they church is planning to operate a mission training center.

Foot Massage & Health Evangelistic Meeting at Beitun Church, Taiwan

Beitun Church, Taiwan invited Elder SeonGyu Nam and five foot massage therapists from October 21 to 26 to hold a health evangelistic meeting and to run a foot massage certificate course.

During the meeting, a healthy cooking class and free foot massage service were provided in the afternoon, while a foot massage certificate course was given in the evening. New comers and church members participated in the meeting every day and experienced healing and touching. A sister who set foot on a church for the first time said her eyesight became better through foot massage. An old man in his eighties said he can walk and exercise due to foot massage.

In order to continue the community service, 12 church members completed the foot massage certificate course and they will serve the church and the local community with their skill in Sabbath afternoon. When they become skilled, they are planning to visit nursing homes and the needy people. A Taiwan Conference officer’s wife also participated in the course, so it is expected to heat up foot massage mission in cooperation with conference. It is also really appreciated that Elder Nam and five volunteers donated five foot massage beds and charcoal packs worth 1500 US Dollars.

HisHands Evangelistic Meeting at Beitun Church, Taiwan

Beitun Church invited a HisHands missionary team from East Center Korean Conference (ECKC) and Pastor SukeHee Hans, NSD HisHands coordinator for an evangelistic meeting from December 16 to 21, 2013. In the morning and the afternoon, they visited house to house in pair with Taiwan church members.

Various programs including a Korean language class and a healthy cooking class were ready and all attendees including church members and new comers were touched by well-prepared word of gospel. “Event it was an unfamiliar environment, I could enjoy an amazing experiences when I boldly started to seek souls with the HisHands spirit. I could experience the truth that God has already prepared souls when I earnestly pray and go out with the gospel to any place,” said Miss MinJeong Choi, HisHands missionary. 

As a result of the meeting, 5 people decided to study the Bible and to be baptized. Sister Laijian Yu, who has been attending the church for 8 year without baptism, finally decided to get baptized and accepted Jesus as her personal savior. Taizhong Church and Taiwan Conference as well as Beitun church congratulated her baptism. Sister Yu, a recently retired high school teacher revealed her hopes to serve the church hard as a HisHands missionary.
