30 Years of Women’s Ministries Marked by Leadership Certification and Celebration

From April 16 to 19, 2025, the Women’s Ministries and Family Ministries departments of the Pakistan Union (PKU) empowered women and families nationwide by hosting a series of impactful events.

These included Level 4 and Level 2 leadership certification programs, held at the PKU headquarters in Lahore and streamed via Zoom for participants in remote regions. More than 130 married and unmarried women joined the programs, which focused on spiritual leadership, mentoring, mission, and practical strategies for strengthening families. The event fostered unity and sisterhood across geographical boundaries by combining on-site training with virtual access.

Raquel Arrais, Director of Women’s and Family Ministries of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD), Lee MyunJu, President of the PKU, and other key leaders equipped and inspired attendees to serve effectively in their churches and families.

Each certification track focused on mission-driven leadership. The Women’s Ministries sessions sharpened participants’ spiritual and organizational leadership skills. At the same time, the Family Ministries training emphasized helping couples and parents build resilient relationships under the motto: “My Family. My Ministry.” The programs offered biblical and practical training and instilled a sense of purpose and empowerment among the participants.

On Sabbath, the Women’s Ministries Department celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special worship service at Adventpura SDA Church. Raquel Arrais delivered a powerful sermon to mark the occasion, and the celebration concluded with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony and expressions of gratitude for three decades of ministry impact.

This event series stood out as one of the most successful in the year’s first four months. “It was a time of joy, reflection, and renewed dedication to God’s calling,” said Raquel Arrais, capturing the spirit of the gatherings.

The Pakistan Union reaffirmed its commitment to developing Christ-centered, capable women leaders through these programs and celebrations. The newly certified participants now return to their churches carrying certificates and a fresh vision to lead, mentor, and bless others in Jesus’ name.
