NSD Officers Strategy Council Calls Leaders to Integrity and United Action

The Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) held the NSD Officers Strategy Council in Bangkok, Thailand, from February 9 to 12, 2026. Approximately 70 officers and their spouses from across the NSD territory gathered to review the Division’s mission direction, evaluate administrative strategies, and shape an integrated vision for the future.

During the welcome session, officers from each country within the NSD territory came forward to introduce themselves. The council formally introduced newly elected officers following the recent Annual Council, allowing participants to become acquainted and strengthen relationships for future collaboration.

Dr. G. T. Ng, former Executive Secretary of the General Conference, served as the main speaker. He presented a series of sessions on spiritual, financial, administrative, mental, moral, and missiological integrity. He emphasized, “True leadership does not begin with position but with integrity. Every administrative decision must serve the mission. Structures and strategies are only tools; our ultimate purpose is to proclaim the gospel.” He continued, “If we do not first stand as faithful leaders before God, no strategy will endure. Hold firmly to integrity and a sense of mission in your respective fields, and make mission your highest priority.”

Rather than limiting the program to lectures, Dr. Ng led case studies and small-group discussions. He encouraged participants to engage actively with the themes and apply the principles to their ministry contexts. This interactive approach helped leaders reflect on real-life challenges and clarify their leadership direction.

The council also highlighted One Voice 27 as a major focus. NSD leaders outlined their plans to prepare for and implement the initiative, and country representatives discussed practical implementation strategies. Participants shared their cultural and social contexts and explored ways to translate the project into effective ministry.

Chung ChanMin, Director of the Global Mission Center, invited as a special speaker for the One Voice 27 project, explained the initiative’s background and purpose. He emphasized, “It is essential to apply One Voice 27 according to the culture and circumstances of each country,” and urged representatives to prepare strategically and implement the project in ways that fit their local realities.

Throughout the council, leaders addressed additional strategic priorities, including the “I Will Go(IWG)” initiative, leadership and administrative collaboration, financial cooperation, and retention and reclamation efforts. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to move forward together under a shared vision.

In his closing remarks, Kang SoonGi, President of the NSD, called for concrete and organized action. He stated, “Each country must immediately establish committees for One Voice 27, IWG, and Retention & Reclamation and clearly define responsibility.” He continued, “Develop context-specific projects and actively share them within your territories to expand mission collaboration.”

He further encouraged unity, saying, “I hope officers across the Northern Asia-Pacific Division will cooperate more closely and move forward under one shared vision. When we unite our experiences and resources, our mission will advance with greater strength.”

Participants expressed their appreciation, saying, “This was a meaningful and significant gathering where we were able to share our vision and mission together.” They added, “We are grateful to the NSD leadership for organizing this council, and we believe it will further strengthen mission commitment and cooperation throughout the territory.”
