Northern Asia-Pacific Division Leaders Make Their First Visit to Bangladesh

From April 22 to 26, 2024, officers and directors from the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) visited Bangladesh. This visit holds a deeper significance as it is the first scheduled visit since Bangladesh was incorporated into the NSD. Throughout the week, the officers visited conferences, churches, schools, and medical institutions across Bangladesh to encourage people. Each departmental director conducted seminars and certification ceremonies, effectively managing their respective schedules.

“To commemorate their first visit to Bangladesh, officers and directors capture a group photo.

Starting their day at 6 AM, the leaders embarked on a rigorous journey, spending over seven hours daily traveling by car, yet they flawlessly executed all planned activities. On the first day, they were welcomed at the Bangladesh Union Mission, followed by a school visit in the afternoon. The subsequent days included visits to the South, North, East, and West Conferences and their respective schools. The week concluded with a worship service at a Bangladesh Adventist Seminary School & College on Sabbath and a groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday.

People attend the groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate this monumental day.

Kim YoHan, the president of the NSD, remarked, “Bangladesh holds very positive potential in the fields of education and missionary work. It faces significant challenges, yet simultaneously, it possesses limitless potential.” The visit is expected to strengthen the ties and cooperation between the division and the Bangladesh Union Mission.
