Nepal Section Office Inaugurates, Marking Historic Milestone

In a moment that will be remembered in the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nepal, the long-awaited Nepal Section Office officially opened its doors. The ceremony took place on November 20, 2025, in Banepa, Kavrepalanchok, and celebrated not just the completion of a building but the fulfillment of a decades-long journey of faith and perseverance.

Since its organization in 1989, the church in Nepal has carried out its mission without a dedicated office, navigating challenges related to religious freedom and registration. Although the delay tested the community, it also strengthened unity, cultivated patience, and deepened their trust in God’s perfect timing.

Officers of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD), the Nepal Section president, local leaders, and supporters gathered for the inauguration, filling the event with gratitude and celebration. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, participants declared a new beginning for the Adventist work in Nepal. In his congratulatory remarks, Kang SoonGi, President of the NSD, said, “This building is not the result of our plans, but the fruit fulfilled within God’s timetable. The work that God has begun will surely be accomplished,” and promised that NSD would provide all necessary furniture and office equipment.

Nepalese leaders expressed optimism about the new facility, noting, “This office will further strengthen the growth of the Church, enabling each department to operate more efficiently and systematically.” They added, “This building powerfully demonstrates that faith, perseverance, and a loving community can transform a long-cherished dream into a beautiful reality, and it will serve as a mission center for generations to come.”
