Mongolian Local Churches Broaden Mission Impact Through Service and Evangelism

Local churches across Mongolia have been actively carrying out a wide range of mission initiatives, including community service, family ministry programs, and gospel-centered worship services. Each church is responding to its unique context and needs by serving its community and expanding the reach of the Gospel.

Serving the Elderly Through the “Spread Love” Campaign

On February 7, 2026, the Pathfinder Club of Khylchyn Church carried out the “Let Us Support Our Elderly!” outreach project as part of the nationwide “Spread Love” campaign. Inspired by Leviticus 19:32, the Pathfinders put biblical principles into practical action.

Working with local leaders, church members selected two households in need and provided essential food items, including flour, rice, and cooking oil. They also cleared snow from yards, removed old wooden materials, cleaned homes, and carried 150 liters of water from a nearby well for a family facing health challenges.

This outreach became a meaningful lesson in ministry for the children and youth. They shared not only food, but also respect, warmth, and faith. The tears of gratitude from the elderly and the joyful smiles of the young participants became the most precious fruits of the project.

A Time to Strengthen Families

In mid-February, Revelation Church hosted a special Valentine’s program for couples under the theme, “Love Is Not a Gift – It Is Quality Time Spent Together.” Eight couples participated in the event, which focused on strengthening marriages and restoring relationships.

Family counselor J. Purevdulam led a seminar on the “Five Love Languages,” helping couples understand each other’s emotional needs and apply practical methods in daily life. Participants identified their own love languages, learned their spouse’s love language, and practiced expressing love in meaningful ways.

The program also included canvas painting, music, a thoughtfully prepared dinner, and interactive games, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. Several couples reported discovering new aspects of their relationships even after many years of marriage. One couple described the experience as “feeling like dating again.”

Launching Gospel-Centered Worship

Meanwhile, Bayankhair Church launched a new evangelistic initiative, designating the last Sabbath of each month as “Gospel Sabbath.” The first service was held on January 31, 2026, with a refreshed format designed to be welcoming and easy for newcomers to understand.

Members actively invited friends and relatives, resulting in several new visitors attending the service. Every sermon and song of praise centered clearly on the message of the Gospel.

Following the service, two individuals publicly declared their faith through baptism—one a student from the Angelos Student Missionary Training Center, and the other a relatively new attendee. Their decision marked a tangible result of the church’s united evangelistic efforts.

Through community service, family ministry, and gospel-centered evangelism, local churches in Mongolia continue to faithfully fulfill their mission. These ministries demonstrate that the church is not merely a gathering place, but a living missionary community within society.

Practical acts of love respond to community needs. Family ministry prepares the next generation. Clear proclamation of the Gospel leads to new commitment and transformed lives. In various ways, Mongolian churches are striving to accomplish the mission entrusted to them by God.
