Homecoming of the 62nd Batch of the 1000 MM

January 25, 2025, the 62nd Batch of the 1000 Missionary Movement celebrated their highly anticipated Homecoming Ceremony, marking a significant milestone after 10 months of dedicated service in their mission fields. 72 missionaries gathered under the theme “Mission Refocusing: I Will Go,” honoring their journeys and the collective mission to spread the faith across the globe.

The 62nd Batch’s extraordinary achievements were highlighted during the ceremony. Throughout their mission, they facilitated 1,153 baptisms, contributed to the completion of 9 church-building projects, and helped establish 32 new congregations. Additionally, they played a key role in leading 1,188 backsliders back to faith, guiding them toward renewed spiritual connections within the Christian community.

The Homecoming Ceremony featured a powerful address by Dr. Nam DaeGeuk, the former president of Sahmyook University in Korea. Dr. Nam spoke on the “Responsibility and Duty of the Priest,” reflecting on the sacred duty of those who commit their lives to spreading the Gospel and serving others.

Cho KiHyung, the Training Coordinator and Associate Director of the 1000 Missionary Movement, formally introduced the 62nd Batch of missionaries to Han SukHee, the Director of the 1000 Missionary Movement. Pastor Han warmly accepted the charge of leading the group and inspired them to continue their missionary work with dedication, strength, and faith.

As the ceremony ended, the 62nd Batch missionaries were filled with gratitude and reflection, acknowledging the challenges and triumphs they experienced throughout their mission. The theme “I Will Go” resonated deeply as a personal pledge to continue serving, regardless of the obstacles ahead.

As the 62nd Batch steps into the next chapter of their mission, the Homecoming Ceremony served not only as a celebration of their past achievements but also as a vision for the future—where faith and service continue to guide their work.
