CHUM Annual Council was held in Clearwater Bay College in Hong Kong from Dec 6-8, 2011. CHUM executive members and invitees attended the meeting. The theme of the meeting was “Revival by His words.”
The participants were blessed with inspiring morning devotions by Elder & Mrs. Ripley, and also by NSD President Dr. Jairyong Lee. Dr. Lee emphasized the importance of personal prayer and devotion in spiritual revival, while the Ripley’s focused on the identity of Adventist message.
During the two and half days of meeting, many important items were discussed. Some items were met with heated discussion, for example, the appointment of AHHK board members, and amendments of CHUM worker’s handbook. CHUM adopted and recorded several important initiatives from GC and NSD such as The Great Controversy Project and Urban Evangelism that will start with 150 evangelistic meetings in the city of New York.

Overall the atmosphere of the Annual council was pretty much alive and in harmony. Many reports were given by various CHUM institutions, conferences, departments, and services. Participants were encouraged by the good reports and they all saw God’s hands in leading the most challenging work in CHUM.
