On January 25, 2026, the 5th Digital Missionary Appointment and Dedication Service of the Korean Union Conference(KUC) was held online via Zoom. Approximately 80 participants joined the service, during which 67 digital missionaries were officially appointed and dedicated.

Digital missionaries engage in specialized areas of digital mission, including digital discipleship training, the creation and sharing of faith-based content such as Bible verse cards, and platform-based outreach through widely used social media channels to communicate and share the gospel.
The service began with a welcome message from Lee SangYong, Director of Communication for the KUC. He welcomed those in attendance, saying, “We warmly welcome everyone who has joined the dedication service for the 5th class of Adventist digital missionaries.” He added, “Just as Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations, today we are called to proclaim the gospel by entering new mission fields through the internet and social media.”

Nam SooMyung, President of the KUC, emphasized the meaning and mission of digital evangelism. He stated, “Sharing the gospel in the digital world is a precious calling, and it is a mission in which anyone can participate,” citing 2 Timothy 4:3. Referring to the current spiritual climate, he said, “We live in a time when many people are turning away from the truth and following misleading stories. It is in such a time that you are standing.” He continued, “Although this work begins with small steps and moves forward one stage at a time, all of these efforts come together to oppose evil and fulfill God’s mission.” He also emphasized, “Regardless of our environment, education, or resources, we can share the gospel and proclaim the message wherever we are and whatever we do.”
During the service, Missionaries Park ByungSeop and Choi YoonJung delivered representative dedication messages, sharing their commitment to the digital mission. They confessed, “We always carry the calling of a missionary in our hearts, yet we are weak and stumble even after making daily resolutions.” They added, “Nevertheless, we desire to entrust everything to God and actively participate in this mission together with the Holy Spirit.”

In his message of encouragement, Byun SeongJun, Director of Communication for the Northern Asia-Pacific Division, emphasized the urgency of the times, saying, “We do not have much time left.” He continued, “This is not a time to hesitate, but a time to proclaim the gospel with a sense of urgency.” He further encouraged the missionaries by stating, “When we dedicate our short lives to eternal values, God will bear great fruit through even the smallest acts of commitment.”
Through the commissioning of the 5th class of digital missionaries, the Korean Union Conference plans to further expand its gospel outreach through online and digital platforms.
